Nigerian women have been advised to harness abundant talents given to them by God for positive transformation of the society.
Giving the advice in Lagos at the commencement of the annual International Women Conference organised by the Women of Purpose Ministries International, the coordinator of the programme, Dr. (Mrs.) Chidinma P. Nwaima, noted that women have a lot of roles to play in effecting positive change in the society.
While declaring that women must strive to discover hidden talents given to them by God, Nwaima noted that it is after doing so that they can become transformed vessels.
“Women occupy a unique position in the society. They combine many things together. As mothers, they have a lot of roles to play in moulding the lives of the young ones. God has given to each women different talents and gifts which can be used for the benefit of the society. What is left is for each woman to discover her own talent by attending seminars, workshops and spiritual gatherings, where prayers and counseling take place,â€Â she declared.
While declaring that there is an urgent need to stem the tide of growing moral decadence in the society, Nwaima stated that a lot of things that are going wrong have to do with how parents bring up their children.
“The holy scriptures said parents should train their children in the ways of the Lord so that when they grow up they will not depart from it, but today how many parents are doing so? Only few ones, so, women must set themselves aside for spiritual knowledge and training for the purpose of reading their own potentials and also to enable them impart right training to their wards,†she added.
On the conference being attended by female general overseers, women pastors, pastors’ wives, women leaders, lady evangelists and deaconesses, Nwaima disclosed that she received a divine mandate to organise the annual event with a view of making every woman a transformed vessel that will be of positive value to the society.
Speakers at the three-day event include Dr. F.N Eboh, Rev. (Mrs.) Hotechukwu David, Rev. (Mrs.) M.A. Jayeola and Rev. (Mrs.) Katherine Osaghale, among others.
