Ex-ACN Lawmaker Joins Kwara Gov. Race

A member of the House of Representatives and three time chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa has declared his intention to contest in the governorship election in Kwara State, with a promise to alleviate poverty.

Bashir a.k.a BOB, expressed his readiness to contribute his quota to the socio-economic development of the state in order to meet the yearning of the people of the area.

Speaking with Political Train, an indigene of Agunjin, in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state, stated that it has become imperative for him to clear the air on his decision to contest the governorship seat of Kwara State.

The former lawmaker reiterated his determination to serve the state with utmost sincerity of purpose and to continue from where the incumbent governor, Bukola Saraki is stopping.

He commended Saraki for the rapid development of Kwara State, especially in the area of agriculture and rural development.

Bolarinwa also enjoined his party supporters to come out enmass and vote for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the forthcoming elections in the state, while calling on youths to shun any act of thuggery before, during and after the elections.

BOB, was a two term councilor and three term chairman of Lagos mainland Local Government.

He is currently the representative of Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

He is in the governorship race with the likes of Chief Makanjuola Ajadi, a former ACN senator in 2007, Engineer Wole Oke, Bio Ibrahim, Yekini Alabi and Senator Gbemisola Saraki.
