The Executive Chairman of Okene Local Government area of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Karaku will be in Lagos to grace the award ceremony of Eehi Multimedia Productions.
Prominent sons and daughters of Ebiraland in Kogi State will be given ‘Recognition Awards’ by Eehi Multimedia on Saturday, 4 December at the FAAN Club, opposite MMA2, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
The organisation will also use the occasion to launch its new movie titled Onyiami meaning My Mother.
Coordinator of the organisation, Mr. Ahmed Jayeola Balogun told P.M. NEWS yesterday that the event is put together to recognise and appreciate the works of some notable indigenes of Igbiraland, who have contributed immensely to the growth and development of not only Igbiraland but Kogi State in general.
“The Chairman of Okene LG, Alhaji Karaku is the chairman of the event. Chief (Mrs.) Franca Olumodeji (JP) is the chairperson. Father of the day is His Royal Highness, Isiaka Awe, the Ohinoyi elect of Lagos.
“The Chief Launcher is Dr. Abdul Aderotimi Olalekan Gbadamosi, while Mr. Edward Apeji and Alhaji Otori Jimoh are the Chief Hosts,†Balogun said.
Commenting on Onyiami, Balogun said the movie, which production lasted one year and seven months and cost N20m, is a Nigerian home movie that is full of suspense, romance and action.
“This movie, which is sub titled in English, parades a new generation of Nigerian artistes across all tribes in the country. The shooting was also done at different locations across Nigeria. The good thing about the movie is that it was produced on HD production,†he said.
