The former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, made this declaration  at the local government training conference, tagged Energising Grassroots Democracy, yesterday at LTV 8, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos State.
He stated that the days councillors are seen as errand boys or servants are long gone. “Do not look at your councillors as errand boys,†Tinubu warned.
The governor stated further that councillors must cooperate and collaborate with the interest of the community they represent. He said “councillors must not be the irritating ants, you must not be the cockroaches in the kitchen.â€
He linked the victory attained at Osun and Ekiti states a good things yet to come and good judgement of the rule of law. He said “without men and women of conscience on the bench, we would not have achieved this.â€
