Heather Watson and Laura Robson have been named in Great Britain’s Fed Cup squad for the next round of matches at the start of next year.
The duo will make their debuts in Europe/Africa Zone Group I action in Israel, alongside Fed Cup stalwarts Elena Baltacha and Anne Keothavong.
Watson, 18, was crowned US Open junior champion last year and has climbed to 176th in the rankings, making her the British number three.
Meanwhile, Robson, who is still only 16, has been preferred to the likes of Katie O’Brien, Naomi Cavaday and Mel South.
“This team has an exciting look about it. Two players who have reached top 50 and two junior grand slam champions,” said Fed Cup captain Nigel Sears.
