Ocean Boys’ Man-of-the-Match against Zamfara United, Chigozie Christopher, has told SuperSport.com that he has set a target of 15 goals for himself this term in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL).
Christopher has scored four goals in his last two games against Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) Football Club and Zamfara United including a hat-trick against the latter in his team’s 3 – 1 win at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
He said: “I want to score up to 15 goals this season and I believe that by God’s grace this is possible.â€
The 18-year-old, who became the second player to score three goals in a single game this term after Ehiosun Ekigho of Warri Wolves, is excited that he has joined the exclusive list of players to score a hat-trick in one game.
The former player of Bayelsa United and Sharks also spoke of his thought before his hat-trick feat against Zamfara United.
“Before our game against Zamfara United I didn’t have any plan that I will score a hat-trick but that is football for you.â€
