Murder Inside Falomo Police Barracks

Policemen from the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti Yaba, Lagos, are  investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the son of a police officer, simply called Ogidigha at the Falomo Police Barracks.

Sources informed P.M.NEWS this morning that the boy who allegedly killed  Ogidigha, who is also the son of a police officer, had been at loggerheads with the deceased for some time.

What caused the feud was that the deceased met Kingsley at a cyber cafe and made love advances to Kingsley’s sister who recently came from the village.

It was gathered that the love advances did not go down well with Kingsley who quarrelled  with the late Ogidigha.

The feud worsened last Sunday when the duo engaged in a physical combat during which Kingsley hit the deceased with a pestle on the head.

The deceased was rushed to the hospital in the barracks but he was rejected by the medical team which said his situation was beyond their competence.

He was rushed to a general hospital but was also rejected because of the current doctors’ strike. He was eventually rushed to a private hospital where he eventually died.

Immediately the news of the death of Ogidigha spread to the barracks, the atmosphere was charged as the Police Officers’ Wives Association, in the barracks destroyed the shed where Kingsley’s mother sold petty goods.

The mother was forced to relocate out of the barracks immediately to escape the mob.
