Few days to the National Assembly election, the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN House of Representatives candidate for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, Hon. Jide Ajinloye says the ACN remains the party to beat in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.
Speaking at a mega rally where the party hierarchy presented him to the teeming party members in the Federal Constituency, Akinloye said the ACN had shown that it is a progressive party.
He said the party would prove to the PDP and other opposition parties that they only existed on the Independent National Electoral Commission’s ballot paper and not in Lagos State .
He pointed out that at the end of the National Assembly elections, all other parties would realise that Lagos State which is known for its progressive politics remains under the firm control of the ACN “because the over six million voters believe in the achievements of the ACN led administration.â€
“PDP is only making noise and by the time the results are announced, they will see that the people of the state have voted right by ensuring total victory for all ACN candidates in the three senatorial districts and the twenty-four Federal Constituencies in Lagos State .
Akinloye also allayed fears of rigging by the PDP, saying INEC, the vigilance of Nigerians, the voting public as well as the security agencies, perpetrating un-democratic acts of rigging and manipulation would be finally eliminated from the electoral process.
The gathering had in attendance the Lagos state Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, ACN National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; ACN State Chairman, Henry Ajomale, leader of the party in Eti-Osa, Chief Murphy Adetoro, and other chieftains.
