The declared winner of the Lagos State East Senatorial District, Mr. Bareehu Olugbenga Ashafa, has commended the electorate in the state for coming out en-masse to vote for ACN during the National Assembly election at the weekend.
Ashafa, who won by a landslide, explained that the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Lagos State.
The newly elected member of the senate who was with Senator Mamora and other party members at his Magodo residence, urged the electorate to equally come out and perform their civic responsibilities in the presidential poll coming up next Saturday.
The former Permanent Secretary in the Lagos Lands Bureau Ministry commended Professor Attahiru Jega-led Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for a job well done in spite of the initial shortcomings that necessitated the postponement of the National Assembly poll on 2 April.
