The Ogun State professionals, the umbrella body of various professionals, has called on the people of the state to support the governorship candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Senator Ibikunle Amosun in the coming governorship election.
In a statement issued after the national conference of the group in Lagos and signed by the National President, Mr. Jibola Egbeyemi and the National Women Coordinator, Alhaja Ayinke Hassan, the group called on the people of Ogun State to come out enmasse and vote for Amosun and dismantle the edifice erected in the state by the present administration.
Ogun State as the gateway of Nigeria, created since 1975, the group noted, has not made much improvement in terms of infrastructure development, health, education and agricultural revolution.
The group called on the people of the state to take their destiny in their hands by voting out irresponsible leaders that have been feeding fat on the state resources.
They stated further that past administrations have not taken advantage of the proximity of the state to Lagos State to facilitate its development.
They urged the people to vote for ACN candidates so that the state can compete favourably in terms of industrial development and create the necessary environment for investors.
