The Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Kolawole Adelaja Agbabiaka, has described Tuesday’s landslide victory of Governor Babatunde Fashola as a victory ordained by God and a show of gratitude from Lagosians for a job well done.
Osolo, who was addressing journalists in his palace at Isolo, said Tuesday was a unique date set aside to reward excellence, superlative performance and exemplary leadership that has been the hallmark of Governor Fashola’s administration in Lagos.
The royal father said Fashola deserved the second term because he has honour, dignity, fame, respect and offers hope to Lagosians.
Said Osolo: “Fashola has become not only a beacon of hope for Lagos, but also a transformational and visionary leader the world is very proud of.
“It is gratifying to be around as Lagosians rewarded the man that has done excellently well. In the last four years, Governor Fashola has shown that he is a governor to beat in Nigeria.â€
He listed some of the enviable achievements of Governor Fashola in the last four years as including making Lagos the cleanest state in Nigeria, massive road construction, renovation of schools, water, creating jobs, especially for urchins and miscreants in Lagos and giving hope to the hopeless.
“Fashola is determined, committed, intelligent, dedicated, tested and trusted. Fashola has proved that there are leaders in Nigeria. All we need to do is to search and fish them out,†Osolo concluded.
