Oshiomole, Eguavoen Applaud U-23 Eagles

Edo state governor Adams Oshiomole and Coach Austin Eguavoen yesterday applauded the performance of the U-23 Eagles, for their progress in the All Africa Games, AAG, qualifying series.
The team defeated Liberia 6-1 in the qualifer played at the Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin. The team moved to the next round on 7-2 aggregate. Oshiomole, who watched the match alongside ex- gov Lucky Igbinedion, said the team proved their worth and are capable of securing the AAG ticket.
“These players have brought hope to our nation. I have no doubt that they will play in the football event of the All Africa Games,” he said.
Coach of the team, Eguavoen was glad with the display of the players, saying they played to instructions.
