The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on politicians to keep to the electioneering promises made to the electorate.

Adeboye, who made the call at a news conference on Wednesday in Lagos, said that fulfillment of election promises would aid development and make them acceptable to the people.

He also urged the politicians to ensure the rehabilitation of roads in their areas of jurisdiction.

He said that rehabilitation of roads such as the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Lagos-Benin Expressway, Lokoja-Abuja Road and Otukpo Road should be a matter of urgency.

The RCCG overseer noted that the church would hold a special prayer session for all first born and elected politicians in the state.

According to him, every first born is supposed to be the strength, bread-winner, figure of excellence, dignity and power in the family.

“This has been reversed by satan which fights most of the first born. That is why I am inviting every first born to a special prayer session.

“It is our belief that all those who attend the prayer session will be restored to their rightful positions in Jesus name,” he said.

Adeboye prayed that God should grant the president the wisdom to appoint ministers that would serve the nation faithfully and genuinely with selfless interest.
