Plans are in top gear to organise the maiden edition of Cliques International Awards (CIA), which is aimed at rewarding excellence, immeasurable achievements and contributions of distinguished personalities to the development of Nigeria as a nation and the world at large.
The event, slated for Martins West, 6817 Dogwood Road, Baltimore, Maryland, United States of America in November, is organised by Cliques International magazine with headquarters in the United States.
According to Mr. Bode Odeseye, the Associate Editor and Chairman, Awards Committee, CIA will reward excellence in governance, banking, telecommunications, aviation, media, industry, insurance and entertainment sectors.
The awards categories, according to him, include Governor of the Year, Best Governor (South West), Best Governor (South South), Best Governor (Northern Nigeria), Best Governor (Eastern Nigeria), Best Governor in Education Development, Most Outstanding Personality in the National Assembly, Bank of the Year, Best Bank in Social Responsibility, Most Resourceful Personality in Banking, Telecommunication Service Provider of the Year, Most Outstanding Personality in Telecommunication, Airline Service Provider of the Year, Industrial Company of the Year, Insurance Company of the Year, Actress of the Year, Actor of the Year, Music Artiste of the Year and Man of the Year, Nigeria and in the Diaspora.
“The event promises to parade the best Nigeria has to offer and it will be a classic night of glitz, glamour and panache,” Odeseye said.
