Bomb Injures Three Soldiers In Maiduguri

Three soldiers were injured on Wednesday around new prison in Maiduguri in an early morning bomb explosion, an officer said.

Maj.- Gen. Jack Nwaogbo, the Commander of the Military Task Force on Operation Restore Order, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri that “one of our patrol teams was targeted this morning by hoodlums around new prison, Maiduguri.

“Three soldiers were injured and there was no civilian casualty.”

He said a suspect had been arrested in connection with the incident.

“We have arrested one of the perpetrators, my men are in the process of cordoning off the entire area as part of the initiatives to contain the activities of the hoodlums,“ the officer said.
