Chairman, Technical Committee, Yomi peters, has appealed to the participating teams over the slight adjustment in the fixtures for the ongoing Boska Cup taking place at the Astro turf of National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Some matches, which were to be played this week, have been suspended due to the heavy rain that occurred on Sunday and other activities that will hold at the match venue this week.
Peters, who apologised for the inconvenience postponement may have caused some teams and spectators, said the decision was taken by members of the Lagos Division Football Association, LDFA , to postpone all matches that have been lined up for this week.
“Apart from the downpour, there is Aspire-Dubai Programme currently holding at the Astro turf pitch. They have booked the place earlier from the stadium manager so we need to give them this week to make use of the match venue,†he said.
Former player of defunct Stationery Stores Football Club of Lagos, Peters told GSG that all the matches slated for next week will hold, adding that the matches will be rescheduled and the dates communicated to the affected teams later in the week.
“I can’t say when the postponed matches will hold. All I know is that we are going to communicate to the teams at the appropriate time for their matches. Let them bear with us for now because it is not organiser’s fault,†he said .
