Prayers For Martins' Late Brother

Members of the Martins’ family will today offer prayers for Obafemi Martins’ elder brother, Oladipupo, who died in a Lagos hospital on Tuesday.

Today’s prayers will be offered for the repose of the soul of the erstwhile Regginna of Italy player, who was buried on Tuesday.

Coach Waheed Kosoko, who is the handler of Young Striker FC, a team that Oladipupo, 33, last played for before he went abroad for professional career, hinted that the wife of the deceased, two children and the family members will be present at the event.

“The prayers are meant for the dead and it is mandatory in Islam. So we are going to have the whole family at the venue.

“Though his younger brother, Obafemi, wanted to come for the burial and the prayers, we advised him to remain in Europe as there are people on ground to take care of things in his absence,” he said.
