Edwin Collins Football Club of Surulere were on cloud 9 after they eliminated Lucky Babes 5-3 on penalty shootouts in the quarter final of Boska Cup played on Tuesday at the Astro Turf of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.

When the tournament started two month ago, nobody gave Edwin Collins FC a chance to reach the semi final. But they proved their critics wrong on Tuesday morning when they held last year’s runners up, Lucky Babes, to a goalless draw at the regulation time and edged them in a penalty shootout.

After the match, Edwin Collins’s coaching crews and some of the players who could not hide their feelings were seen at the food restaurant dining and wining throughout the day.

Chief Coach of Edwin Collins, Uche Joy Ugwu, told GSG that the team have made history reaching the semi final at the detriment of other big clubs. He showered praises on the team for their doggedness and determination to reach the semi final.
