Mighty Stars Aim High

Players and management of Mighty Stars Football Club of Mainland are aiming high in 2012.

The club management have concluded plans to engage the club in high profile football competitions this year.

Mighty Star team manager, Mathew Dafe, told P.M.Sports that they are planning to play Lagos FA Cup and Boska Cup which are high profile grassroots football competitions in Lagos.

“The club management is ready to surpass the achievements recorded last year. So we are planning to travel to Ghana on a training tour andcome back to prepare for football competitions,” he said.

Dafe revealed that for the club to excel this year, new players will be invited to fortify the team, while some old players will be booted out.

“ Of course many old players will go because of indiscipline because some of them cannot be part of the team. So we have invited many new players to take part in our screening exercise which will begin on 22 January,” he said.
