Nigeria has gained five points from 43rd last month to 38th in August to move up in the latest FIFA ranking released early today.
In the ranking, the country is now 4th in Africa, while Cote dâ€
Fifth in Africa is Burkina Faso (40th), Algeria is 6th (46th), South Africa 7th (47th) and Senegal 8th in Africa and 49th in the world.
Meanwhile, in the latest ranking released by FIFA, The Netherlands is ranked Number 1 in the world, while Spain, Germany, England, Uruguay and Brazil are second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
