The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in collaboration with the Plateau Emergency Agency has started the compilation of names of victims of the crises and those of their families with a view to assisting them.

Alhaji Muhammed Sani-Sidi, the Director-General of NEMA, made this known while fielding questions from the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Sunday.

He said the compilation was in line with President Goodluck Jonathan’s directive that NEMA should provide immediate relief materials to all victims of the crises in the state.

He said that the agency had already activated its contingency strategy to meet the challenges of the presidential directive.

Sani-Sidi added that NEMA employees in its Abuja operational office had been directed to join their counterparts in Plateau to ensure “massive and elaborate intervention” where every victim would be catered for.
