Ifako-Ijaiye ACN Holds Peace Parley

The Ifako-Ijaiye chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Lagos State today held a reconciliatory meeting at the residence of Hon. Demola Doherty, the incumbent chairman of the local government.

Present at the meeting were Hon. Moruph Adefolabi, former member of House of Representatives, the ACN chairmanship candidate in the 22 October poll, Dr. Oloruntoba Oke and other political leaders.

They include Alhaji Abiola, Mrs. Sanni, Mr. Onifalokun, Mr. Tokunbo Ogunsanya, the supervisory councillor for Works in the council area and other stakeholders.

Oloruntoba Oke and Doherty embraced each other to show the cordiality between the incumbent chairman and the ACN chairmanship candidate.

Addressing the people, Doherty expressed gratitude to the national leader of the ACN, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the opportunity given to him the last three years to serve the people.

Doherty expressed his total support for Tinubu’s leadership and the ACN. He said he has a firm belief in the supremacy of the party.

In his remarks, Adefolabi implored Oke to carry Doherty and his supporters along in all his programmes and activities.

Responding, Oke thanked Adefolabi and Doherty for the meeting and the spirit of brotherhood exhibited by the trio. He agreed to carry them along in crucial decision making in order to tap from their experience.

The meeting rose after Doherty promised to present Oke to ACN supporters in Ifako-Ijaiye tomorrow.
