The maiden Kemi Surakat Beach Soccer Championship, which began on Monday, 19, is getting more interesting by the day.
The grassroots tournament, which is organised to honour the incumbent Executive Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Kemi Surakat will end tomorrow, the Christmas Eve.
In the matches played yesterday, Ajegbenwa FC beat 2SG FC of Akodo 5-0; Igando Oloja defeated Evergreen FC, Ayeteju 3-0, while Angel Imaletalafia beat Apapa LG team 3-0. Great FC, Orimedu walloped Ultimate FC 6-0.
According to the Tournament Coordinator, Segun Arogundade, who is Head of Agriculture and Social Development in Ibeju Lekki LG, matches continue today at the Eleko Beach. He said Invisible FC, Awoyaya will battle Ajegbenwa, Igando Oloja FC take on White Angel, Lakowe FC go to war with Unity FC of Orofun.
