Eleven Strikers Football Club of Amuwo-Odofin have resumed training ahead of the Lagos State Challenge Cup which holds later in the year.
When P.M.Sports visited the club training ground on Tuesday at the Olympic Sports Centre, Amuwo-Odofin, at least 30 players were intensive training session led by Saturday Okon.
Okon, the team manager of the club, told P.M.Sports that he was impressed with the response of the players in training, adding that his target this year is to win the Lagos FA Cup.
“We reached the semi final of Lagos FA Cup last year and we want to surpass the achievement by winning this year’s edition,” he said.
Okon, who has recruited new players to fortify the team for future competitions, noted that only the best players will be considered to play for the club in high profile competitions.
“I have told the players to shape up if they want to play for the club.The new players must also be up and doing to get a place in the team,” he said.
