It’s been over two years since Nigerian-German songstress, Nneka, toured the United States. But with the upcoming release of her third album, Soul Is Heavy, the international soul singer is more than ready to return to North America.
According to a release by the petite singer’s publicist, Nneka will be crisscrossing about 16 major cities in the United States of America and Canada, all through the month of March. And she’s fully prepared for the gigs.
Nneka has just released the remix of her hit song My Home. She said the song explains the reality that “there is no peace on Earth until you accept that both bad and good are part of life.”
Encompassing a combination of hip hop beats, reggae grooves, brass riffs and African-pop, Nneka’s new album Soul Is Heavy is a raw and honest window into her beliefs of love, pain, politics and God. The album will be released on 28 February on Yo Mama’s Recordings/Decon.
