Scribe of Nigeria Olympic Committee, NOC, Tunde Popoola, has charged other state governors in the country to emulate Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola whose government has come up with the Adopt-A-Talent Sport Programme to discover young athletes for the nation’s sports.

The Adopt-A-Talent scheme was officially launched yesterday by Governor Fashola, who was represented by the Commissioner for Sports, Enitan Oshodi, at a ceremony held at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium Hall, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

Popoola, who was among those invited to the launch told P.M. Sports that the NOC was impressed with the programme and the value it would add to sports in Lagos, hence the need for other states to take a cue from what Governor Fashola is doing about the development sports in Lagos.

“Adopt-A Talent Sports Programme is a laudable project and I think other states should emulate the noble effort to catch the athletes young. I want to commend Lagos for this project and I hope it will be sustained,” he said.
