A female student (name withheld) at Ejigbo Secondary School, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria has been caught watching pornographic scenes on her cell phone.
The teenager was caught by her teacher, simply identified as uncle Chike, a National Youth Service Corp, NYSC, member posted to the school.
P. M.NEWS gathered that when the teacher saw sex scenes on the phone, he scolded the girl, seized the phone and took it to the school principal.
After the 15-year old student was scolded and her phone seized, she allegedly contacted her lover, Kabiru Mathew, who came to the school with five thugs to beat up the teacher.
It was reported that Mathew dragged Chike out of the class and beat him up, demanding for the phone.
This caused commotion in the school until the police from Ejigbo Police Station, who were contacted by the school principal, intervened.
The police arrested the six suspects and detained them at the station.
Speaking with the girl at the school premises, she admitted that Chike caught her watching sex scenes on her phone and seized it.
But she denied that she told Mathew to beat up Chike, saying she only complained to her boyfriend that her teacher sized her phone.
When asked how she got the phone, she said it was Mathew that bought the phone and loaded it with sex scenes for her.
The police at the station where the suspects were detained confirmed the incident, but declined to comment further on the matter, saying investigation was ongoing.
The school principal told our reporter that she was not authorised to speak to the press on the matterand referred our reporter to the education board where the case is being investigated.
Some of the relatives of the suspects were seen at the school premises, while others were at the police station pleading for leniency on behalf of the suspects.
