Coach of Rising Stars, Sunday Erelesusi, is confident of victory against Ocean Boys on Matchday 12 at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode tomorrow.
The NPL newcomers lost 0-1 at Niger Tornadoes on Matchday 11 in Minna last weekend and have raked in a paltry 12 points from possible 30.
Erelesusi told SuperSport.com that the game against the Ocean Boys is a must win for his wards.
“It’s a must win game for us, we’re training very hard to ensure we pick the maximum points.
“Of course, players and the coaching crew are working together for the same course.
“Good enough all the players are fit for this encounter which is a big plus.
“We’ve picked more than a fair share of the draws so far in the season. I think it’s the right time to up our game and go for full points.
“At least, we should win convincingly at home, while we strive for point at away,” the Rising Stars’ coach said.
Erelesusi is positive Rising Stars will contest for the league crown.
“We’re not where we want to be at the moment but we’ll surely get there.
“We’re new to the terrain, my players are still learning the ropes but be rest assured that we will be in contest for the title,” he said.
Rising Stars have picked six draws, two wins and loss two in the 10-week old elite league.
