Lagos FA Cup: Eleven Strikers Warn First Bank

Chief Coach of Eleven Strikers, Chucks Oseji, has warned First Bank FC and other professional clubs not to underrate his team in the forthcoming Lagos State Challenge Cup.

Eleven Strikers, who reached the semi final stage of the championship last year, have recruited new players to fortify the team ahead of this year’s edition.

The Ijesha-based club played 1-1 with Fame FC in a friendly match held on Tuesday at the Ijesha playground, Lagos.

Oseji noted that the friendly match was organised to assess his team’s preparedness for the Lagos FA Cup.

Oseji boasted that his team are ready to face any club that come their way in the opening match of the tournament, saying that the era of playing second fiddle in the Lagos FA Cup is over.

“We were in the semi final of the Lagos FA Cup last year.So, we want to play in this year’s final. We are aware of the task ahead and we are ready to shock the so-called professional clubs and go all the way to win the title,” he said.

Oseji disclosed that playing against First Bank in any stage of the Lagos FA Cup will be a dream comes true for the team. Having played against other professional clubs in the past, Eleven Strikers are yet to play against First Bank in the Lagos FA Cup.

“We want to play against First Bank FC and other professional clubs. I wish both teams meet in the final of the competition,” he said.
