As part of efforts to keep its growing subscribers entertained, StarTimes Digital Television has launched a new package called Unique Bouquet.
At a media briefing last week, management of the digital television network said that with the introduction of the new package, StarTimes now has over 51 channels.
The Marketing Director of the company, Liang Liu, said, the unique package which comprises Fox Entertainment, Explorer and Crime, Star-Plus and Star-Gold,was conceived to further bring quality content to the bouquet.
Liu added that the 51- channel package was introduced in order to give subscribers the opportunity to choose, noting however that existing subscribers would receive a promotional view in the month of March.
Liu explained that in order to reduce the stress of the subscription payment, Startimes has partnered Stanbic IBTC Bank in line with the cashless policy of the CBN.
He said: “Because of our price, the upper class in the society think StarTimes does not have the choice of stations they would have loved. With this new package, they will have more choice.”
Also speaking at the event, StarTimes brand manager, Bayo Okeowo said: “Unique Bouquet as it sounds is a highly classified bouquet for young executives, trendy youth, aspiring families, students and all who think they are unique. Unique Bouquet has over 51 channels of sports, music, movies, news, kids and teens entertainment, fashion, documentaries, wild-life and lots more; it includes interesting and great channels like; Fox Entertainment, True Movies 1, Explorer & Crime, Star plus , and Star-Gold.”
He further said: “These channels are selected for unique viewers who possess distinctive interest for entertainment. Unique bouquet contains more than it cost as everyone would start enjoying the grand bouquet from 1 March 2012.
