Cricket: Nigeria To Attend AGM In Cape Town

P.M.Sports can report that Nigerian delegates will attend the 14th Annual General Meeting, AGM, of Africa Cricket Association, ACA, and Africa Regional Development seminar from Saturday, 6 April to Monday, 9 April in Cape Town, South Africa .

It was gathered from the secretariat of Nigeria Cricket Federation, NCF, that Kwesi Sagoe, who is the president of the federation and the Chairman of the Africa Cricket Associationn will be represented at the continental events by George Wiltshire, Chief Operating Officer of the NCF.

According to Zuraida Badat of ICC-AFRICA, an executive meeting of the ACA will preceed the AGM on Friday, 6 April. The AGM will hold on Saturday followed by the ICC-Africa Regional Development Seminar on Sunday and Monday.

Meanwhile, Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) recently commissioned an Astro turf Wicket at the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval, Lagos.

The artificial wicket was donated by “ Friends of Nigerian Cricket”, a group of cricket enthusiasts.

The commissioning was witnessed by President Sagoe, CEO, Witshire, Chairman, Lagos State Cricket Association, Debola Ogunsina, his vice, Barnaby Ephraim, NCF Technical Officer, Ewa Henshaw, Leader of delegation of “Friends of Nigerian Cricket”, Femi John.

Others are members, Technical Committee of NCF,Roland Ilube and Kome Agodo, Nigeria’s wicket keeper, Ademola Onikoyi, Protocol Officer (NCF), Samuel Daramola and a member of “Friends of Nigerian Cricket”, Yinka Abayomi.
