The Lagos State Multi-Sports Festival, Ibile Games which kicked off on Monday produced medal winners on the first day as Baptist Secondary School shrugged off every opposition to grab the gold medal in the Girls’ Team and a Silver medal in the Boys’ Team event.
Wesley Senior Girls High School, Yaba emerged the Silver medalist in the Girls’ event while Ransome-Kuti Memorial Senior Secondary School clinched the gold medal in the Boys’ event. The bronze was won by Obele Community Secondary School.
In the Senior Category of Table Tennis, Isolo LCDA Women’s team proved too hot for any other LG/LCDA to handle as they coasted easily to the gold medal beating Surulere LG to the Second place while Somolu LGA and Amuwo-Odofin LGA were joint bronze medal winners.
Somolu Men’s Team improved on the third place showing of their women as they grabbed the gold medal in the Men’s event ahead of Yaba LCDA which won the Silver and Isolo LCDA placed third.
In Traditional Sports, Oshodi beat Igando-Ikotun LCDA 3-2 in the Men’s event of Abula while Oshodi female team also defeated Igando-Ikotun, 2-1.
