Wushu Kungfu: Arowolo Eyes Medal At Festival

A wushu kungfu player, Mathew Arowolo, has promised to win medal for Lagos State if he qualifies to represent the state at the forthcoming National Sports Festival billed to hold in the state later in the year.

Arowolo is representing Coker Aguda Local Council Development Area, LCDA at the Lagos State Sports Festival tagged Ibile 2012, which will be used as the qualifiers for the festival.

In a chat with P.M. Sports, Arowolo promised to win a medal for the state if he is successful at the ongoing trial at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

“Lagos State should expect a medal from me at the featival if I qualify to represent it at the festival. I will be glad to do that in order to show my appreciation to the state for featuring me at the games,” said Arowolo.

He said: “I know that I will win a medal if I am able to qualify for the festival. But as I said, all will depend on my qualification because I can only feature at the festival if am able to defeat my opponents at the Ibile Games, which is the trial.”

“I am working very hard with my training at the moment so that I can do the state proud at the festival.

“I want to win a medal so that my family and fans can be happy with me,” said Arowolo.
