Gbagada Mock Nations Cup: Current Assure On Good Outing

Defending champions, Current Football Club have assured their fans that they will go far in the ongoing Gbagada Mock Nations Cup, which kicked off on Sunday at the Gbagada playground, Lagos.

Current who defeated Olope FC 2-1 to win the trophy in the last edition said they are fully ready to clinch three points at stake when they confront Mustaseed FC in tomorrow’s game.

Chief Coach of Current FC, Adeyemi Bello is upbeat about a successful outing in the championship this year with the ultimate aim of retaining the title.

“We are ready for the championship. I have the players who are hungry for success. I must confess that the spirit in the team show that the players are ready to beat any team that come their way,” he boasted.

Bello said the players are well motivated and failure to beat Mustaseed FC tomorrow will be a major setback for the team.

According to him, the players are in killer mood and ready to shed blood against Mustaseed FC.

Results of the matches played so far in the tourney shows that Lekki FC defeated Maintain Boys 2-0, Choice FC humbled Fetuga 2-1, Lakeside FC lost 0-3 to Tosban FC, Pablo FC drew 0-0 with Shurwa FC.

Action continues this afternoon when FC Robo battle Lekki FC, while Fetuga FC will confront Jagunmolu FC.

Match Coordinator, Kemac Emina expressed satisfaction with the standard of the matches played, adding that all the teams have lived up to expectations.
