Barely three weeks before the last phase of this season’s Nigerian Basketball League, sponsored by DSTV, defending champions, Royal Hoopers of Port Harcourt have vowed to retain the title they won for the first time last year.
Coach of the team, Ogor Odaudu said: “We are currently preparing ahead of the playoff from 21-28 July in Lagos.
“Though we lost twice to Dodan Warriors during the regular season, our target is to retain our domestic title, and get a ticket to represent the country at the African Clubs Championship later in the year.”
Meanwhile, slamming and dunking pundits in the country have tipped the high flying Warriors, Hoopers, Kano Pillars, and Lagos Islanders for the semi final of the Super 8.
