The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) on Saturday in Jos confirmed the nomination of Mr Yusuf Pam as its candidate for the 6 October bye-election for Plateau North Senatorial seat. The party also approved the candidature of Mr Ezekiel Gwom for the Barkin Ladi constituency of the state House of Assembly.

Pam, who was the Attorney-General of Plateau during the Joshua Dariye’s administration, had been screened with the party’s former governorship candidate, Chris Giwa and Mr Danladi Atu.

After the confirmation of Pam at the party’s congress, supervised by its leadership and INEC officials, the party’s flag was handed over to him by Mr James Haruna, the state Chairman.

Haruna said, “Today is a big day for us members of ACN, as it marks a landmark in the party’s history in Plateau in view of the turmoil we found ourselves shortly after last year’s elections.”

The chairman said that the choice of Pam was a signal that Plateau was going to have a good representative at the national level for a positive development.
