Super Eagles’ new invitee, Brendan Ogbu says he is determined to grab a shirt in the senior national team.

The Heartland striker is among the 23 home-based Eagles invited for the decisive 2013 Afcon qualifier against the Lone Star of Liberia on October 13 at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar.

Ogbu said his invitation to the Super Eagles has convinced him that hard work has its reward.

“I think my call up owes more to hard work shown in my performances in the Federation Cup and League, I believe it came at the right time.

“I’ll do my best to live up to the expectation of the coaches and prove to them that inviting me was not an error.
