One of the major sponsors of the Governor’s Cup Lagos Tennis Open, First City Monument Bank, FCMB, has reiterated its commitment towards ensuring the successful hosting of this year’s championship.
FCMB’s Group Head, Corporate Communication, Ikechuckwu Kalu, who made this submission, also said that the financial institution will strive to make this year’s competition a memorable one for players, officials, spectators and all lovers of tennis.
“We are proud to sponsor the Gov’s Cup again this year. At FCMB, we believe in supporting what our stakeholders’ value” he said.
“Sports and indeed tennis is a key passion point for them; that is why we have thrown our weight behind this tournament for the past four years now.”
Kalu further declared that FCMB’s support will not be limited to the Gov’s Cup alone, stressing the bank’s intention to support the Local Organising Committee, LOC in its plans to commence the hosting of the Junior Governor’s Cup from next year.
“Apart from supporting the Gov’s Cup, we’re also ready to support the LOC with their plans to host the Junior Gov’s Cup starting from next year,” Kalu submitted.
The Governor’s Cup has been co-sponsored by FCMB and Etisalat for the past four years.
