The Lagos State female team that are expected to compete for honours at the forthcoming National Sports Festival, NSF, in Lagos have emerged winners of the the 7th Lagos City Basketball League.
In the final match played on Saturday at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Naional Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, the Coach Adewunmi Aderemi-tutored Lagos Team defeated the Police Rookies 55-48 points to emerge champions.
The Lagos male team were not as lucky as the female team as they failed to make it to the podium in their category as Premier League team, the Lagos Islanders defeated Chariots 78-71 to emerge winners.
Lagos State Basketball Association, LSBBA, chairman, Babs Ogunade while speakinag at the closing ceremony, charged the players and coaches of Team Lagos to continue to double their efforts at molding a winning team ahead of the National Sports Festival, which starts on 27 November.
