David Adeyemo, who won two gold medals for Bayelsa State in the weightlifting event of the National Sports Festival holding in Lagos have declared his readiness to win gold medal for Nigeria, whenever he earns a call up to the national weightlifting team.
The Ondo State-born weightlifter, shortly after claiming his second medal inside the Brai Ayonote Boxing Gymnasium, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos said he is capable to win medals for the country at the shortest invitation.
According to him, “I have made my mark in Nigeria, my next ambition is to help Nigeria win gold medal at the Olympic Games in the near future”.
He praised the National Weight Federation, NWF officials for being fair in their judgement adding that with fairness that promising weightlifters can be discovered and nurtured to greatness”.
