Smart Strikers Coach Warns Junior Milan

Chief Coach of Smart Strikers Football Club of Oke-Aro, Idowu Sulaiman has warned players and coaches of Junior Milan Football Club of Alimosho to forget the trophy when both sides clash in the final of the Kessington Adebutu U-20 Football competition scheduled for tomorrow at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos Island.

To reach the final stage, Smart Strikers thrashed B-Unit Football Club of Ebute Metta 3-0, while Junior Milan FC defeated Jokers Stars Football Club of Lagos Island 4-2 via penalty shootouts, after both teams settled for a goal apiece at regulation time.

Speaking ahead of the final, Sulaiman boasted that his players are in good frame of mind to take their opponents to the cleaners. He said his team have come a long way, and cannot fail at this crucial time it will be a disappointment if they fail to win the trophy.

“We are ready for Junior Milan. It is going to be a tough match. We have played some friendly matches to prepare for the final and I am optimistic that my players are equal to the task to win the title,” he said.

Match Coordinator, Ganiu Aliu, urged the two finalists to be good ambassador of their clubs and avoid any form of hooliganism, adding that any player or fan that misbehave during the match will be sanctioned accordingly.

Nigerian’s biggest lotto operator, Akogun of Remoland, Ogun State, Chief Adebutu Kessington, popularly known as Baba Ijebu, sponsored the second edition of the tournament.
