Super Eagles’ coach, Stephen Keshi, has said that the spirit in camp is quite high as his team prepares for the friendly game against Mexico before playing the World Cup qualifiers and the FIFA Confederations Cup.

Nigeria will on 31 May play a friendly against Mexico in Houston, Texas, USA, before jetting back to Africa for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Kenya and Namibia and then travel to Brazil for the Confederations Cup. The team are scheduled to arrive Houston today from their Germany camp.

“There is a very good team spirit in camp, and I am quite happy about that. Everyone is in great shape and raring to go,” Keshi said

“I am expecting Efe Ambrose and Ogenyi Onazi on Monday (yesterday), and Brown Ideye will join us in America.

Keshi, however, revealed that some players would be dropped for the game. “Of course, we’re not going to go with everybody to the U.S., although I would have loved to take everyone,” Keshi said.

“There has been huge dedication and commitment here and I’m sure that those we will pick for the match against Mexico will do Nigeria proud,” he added.
