After weeks of touring Europe and promoting Afrobeat music globally, Seun Anikulapo Kuti and the Egypt 80 Band will be performing live at the New Afrika Shrine on 29 June. The live show will run from 10 p.m. till dawn.

As usual, Seun will thrill fans with the best of his repertoire, as well as some of the hits created by his father, the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

P.M.NEWS Entertainment Café learnt that Seun also play some of his recent recordings, which will form part of his upcoming album.

“My album launch is coming soon, so, we are concentrating on wrapping up the production as we are still recording. Also our last tour was fine, we had time to see the cities and entertain our fans. However, my fans should expect some of those political commentaries on the state of the nation,” Seun said.

The multi-instrumentalist added that a deal is on the table as a build up to his album release. “Each time we have a new album, we usually sign agreement with our international promoters. So, this time, we are yet to seal the deal, but I can only tell you that we have offers on the table; we will surely go for the right one. You know how it works in Europe and America; big labels are always interested in taking off artistes from the smaller ones. So, we are still on it, but will make things public as soon as it is sorted,” he said.
