The 6th edition of Nollywood Outstanding Personalities Awards, NOPA, will hold on Sunday at Etal Hotels and Hall, Ikeja, Lagos.
Stanley Okoronkwo, the organizer of the award stated that, all logistics and arrangements needed for the successful hosting of this year’s edition of the event are all in place.
“This year will be unique as we are leaving no stone unturned in our bid to surpass the high standard that has become the hallmark of the award,” Okoronkwo said.
He said that the Screening College, made up of movie journalists, is the most qualified to give awards to players in the industry because they (reporters) are the real critics of the works and the persons behind them.
Okoronkwo disclosed that NOPA, which features the recognition of regular industry players will, as usual, have the Diamond Pen Merit Awards, Special Recognition Awards, Evergreen Icon Award (the highest individual honour for industry players), Industry Support Award (for corporate bodies/individuals) In-depth Coverage Award (for the mass media) and Grand Patron of Art Award (which is the highest of all the honours of NOPA) among others.
