The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi has charged Nigerians to vote out incompetent leaders in next year’s general elections.

He said if the nation must overcome its challenges, the electorate must ensure that only competent leaders were voted into power.

Kumuyi, who held a two-day crusade in Osogbo, Osun State, southwest Nigeria, at the weekend, said it was time Nigerians voted in people with impeccable character that would govern them well.

“When we are going to cast our votes, we should cast our votes intelligently. We know where we want to be as a country in various areas of development and the leaders that will get us to where we want are those we are going to cast our votes for at all levels,” he said.

Kumuyi said Nigeria would overcome its present challenges with prayers and the help of God as several nations had experienced such turmoil in the past and overcame.

Kumuyi also commented on the transformation going on in Osun State and praised Governor Rauf Aregbesola for his efforts.

He said his leadership had translated to development as his programmes and projects had direct positive bearing on the people of the state.

“We thank God for the progress we have seen in this state. A a lot has taken place in terms of transformation under Ogbeni Aregbesola. I want to rejoice with the governor that God has granted him focus and vision to actually carry on the works for the development of the state,” he added.

Kumuyi said he was impressed with the facelift that Aregbesola has given the state when he saw various completed and ongoing developmental projects on his way to Osogbo from Lagos driving through Ikire-Gbongan-Ode-Omu.

Congratulating the governor on his victory during the 9 August, 2014 governorship election, he expressed optimism that the state would witness more development under Aregbeshola’s tenure.
