Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state,southwest, Nigeria has expressed his condolences to his counterpart in Kwara state, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed on the death of his mother.

Ahmed lost his mother, Hajia Rahamotalahi Ahmed at the age of 90.

Amosun joined millions of Nigerians to console the governor, who was the former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs during the regime of Senator Bukanla Saraki.

In a press release issued Sunday evening and signed by the Senior Special Assistant on Media, SSA, to the governor, Mrs Olufunmilayo Wakama, copy of which was obtained by our correspondent in Abeokuta, Amosun described the death of the governor’s mother as most painful.

“It is a painful experience to lose one’s mother, irrespective of the age. Mama lived a fulfilled life and we would have wished to have her around, but Allah giveth and He taketh. We cannot question Him,” the statement read.

Amosun also extended his heartfelt condolences to other family members of Ahmed and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul Aljannah Fridaus and the family members the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
