Rivers state governor and Director General of Buhari Presidential Campaign Council, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi says despite the political blackmail and baseless propaganda by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP against the All Progressives Congress (APC), PDP would be history after 2015 elections if the ruling party allows a level playing field.

Amaechi who stated this Tuesday during the 2015 Thanksgiving Day Service held at the Dr. Obi Wali International Convention centre in Port Harcourt said the President Goodluck Jonathan is so scared of defeat that his foot soldiers are mobilizing for the postponement of the election.

He expressed hope that with the level of distribution of Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to the electorates in the North and other parts of the country, and the test of popularity of the APC Presidential candidate, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), the road map to victory for the party was sure.

“We are on course to move PDP out of office in the upcoming 2015 February elections. This is because we need to ask ourselves why PDP is asking for the postponement of the elections?

Amaechi alleged PDP has also gone ahead to ask some unnamed willing editors of various national newspapers and other media houses to start heating up the political system that will warrant the postponement of the 2015 February elections.

“I promise you that, PDP will be history in this country after the presidential elections. Over 60 to 65 per cent of the electorates in the north have already collected their Permanent Voters Cards.”

This is the time to claim our victory and that is why Rivers state is close to the APC Presidency, So, we can bring dividends of democracy to our people. No project was done by Jonathan and his administration and no effort was made to revamp our refineries. That is the reason why we should vote APC,” Amaechi stated.
