The 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games kicks off on 25 July 2015 in Los Angeles, California and the Nigerian contingent to the games left the country yesterday as they aim to rewrite history.
The athletes will compete in aquatics, gymnastics, track and field, basketball, football (soccer) and other summer sports.
Over 7,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities from around the world is expected to participate in this year’s edition.
The Nigeria team tagged ‘Special’ left for the Olympics Summer Games on 20 July.
