Rap star, Olamide Adedeji, is bereaved as he has lost his dad.

The YBNL boss announced the passing away of his father Thursday on the microblogging site, Instagram.

The bereaved star didn’t share the details of his father’s demise.

Olamide’s message with a blank image reads: “O God, who hast commanded us to honour our father and our mother; in Thy mercy have pity on the soul of my father, and forgive his trespasses; and make me to see him again in the joy of everlasting brightness. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Rest well Dad… Forever in my heart.”

Pa Adedeji’s death is coming barely a week after his son released a well-accepted fifth studio album, ‘Eyan MayWeather’.

The rapper in his 2014 album, ‘Street OT’ and the track ‘1999’, wrote about his father being shot by armed robbers and surviving it. He also raps about the deceased on his popular song ‘Anifowose’, a remix of King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal’s song.

During the last father’s day, Olamide gave a very funny shout out to his dad. “All the money wey I de scam my papa to spend on music hustle no waster.. Now we blesse.. Happy father’s day to my number 1 maga… Tnx for falling for all my leg over n the format wey i de throw u…” he wrote then.

Pa Adedeji from Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, is survived by his wife and six children including Olamide and his kid brother, Eniola, popularly known as DJ Enimoney.
