Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has commiserated with the Government and people of Abia State on the demise of Mrs Bessie Ikpeazu, mother of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, Governor of Abia State.

In a condolence message to Governor Ikpeazu, and the government and people of Abia State, Okowa said Mrs. Ikpeazu’s death is a great loss not only to Abia State but the nation in general, given her invaluable contributions to the cause of humanity.

Governor Okowa whose condolence message was contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu described the late Madam Bessie Ikpeazu as a humanitarian who rendered free health services to many Abians as a career Midwife and Nurse.

Governor Okowa paid glowing tribute to Madam Ikpeazu for being a good mother to have nurtured and trained so many children culminating in the emergence of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu as Governor of Abia State.

“On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I commiserate with my brother, friend and colleague Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, Executive Governor of Abia State on the painful loss of his beloved mother, Madam Bessie Ikpeazu.”

He prayed the Almighty God to grant repose to her soul, and give the Ikpeazu family, the people of Abia State and the entire nation the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
